Or… you just want to know when après is starting. But most ski sleeves are bulky and tight. Peeling back your glove and two layers of sleeves in -10°C air is a recipe for frozen wrists.

The Fit: Silhouette vs. Performance
Many more affordable ski brands cut their suits in a boxy, unisex shape. On the other end of the spectrum, high-fashion suits can be so slim fit you can barely sit down for a vin chaud.

Technical Specs: Don’t Get Caught in the Cold
Most skiers knows that snow can quickly build up and melt on your body, whether waiting at the top of a mountain or on a chairlift that’s stopped still. If your suit isn't technically sound, you’ll be wet and cold within an hour.
Look for at least 10,000mm (10k) waterproofing and 10,000g (10k) breathability. This is the "sweet spot" for European skiing. It’s enough to keep you dry in a heavy snowstorm, but breathable enough that you won't overheat when the sun comes out during a long run.
